I was amazed by how fast I filled up a 4 gig, and then a 1 gig memory card. Granted, I was shooting in jpg + RAW but sheesh! It started to rain pretty hard anyhow and as my camera is not waterproofed I tucked her safely away.

There have been numerous stories in the Worcester Magazine and on the Telegram and Gazette site about CSX expanding their rail yard here in Worcester. Many residents are against it because of the noise and congestion it is expected to bring to the neighborhood. I’m all for more trains to photograph though.
First time I can remember using the Hard Mix blending option. Flowers are Hard Mix at 50% opacity with the rest of that layer masked out. Background layer is the original which has some good aperture blur. Mayflower is the state flower of Massachusetts.

In 1886, George Sanford and Gilbert G. Davis formed a partnership, taking over the business of Franklin Printing Company, which was established in 1856. In 1890 Davis bought out the partnership. Davis, Commonwealth Press and J. S. Wesby constructed the 7-story Printers Building at 44 Portland Street together in 1923. In 1989 Davis Press was bought by the Lafayette Group.
