A Bit Decayed, but Still Sound

I read an article in the Worcester Magazine about the upcoming replacement of the Kenneth F. Burns MA-9 bridge across Lake Quinsigamond. The aritcle mentions that it will be an $138 million dollar project. Mention is made of it being a “signature bridge“. The current bridge opened to traffic in 1919. I wasn’t able to find an explicit reference about who it is named after, but my guess would be the Kenneth F. Burns mentioned here. There are quite a few rowing events held on the lake to this day.

As to the picture itself, I am quite pleased with the composition a wonderful exercise in perspective I think. I cropped the bottom a tiny bit. Other than that, I only did an auto curves adjustment layer in Photoshop.

I used a black and white adjustment layer in Photoshop, yellow filter preset. I was pleased with the compostion. Not holding the camera straight makes the picture more dynamic I think, as though the locomotive is charging downhill.
